Family Matters Court Reports is a service for families who require an independent assessment of their child/children’s needs and care arrangements as part of Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia proceedings (FCFCOA).

In summary, the general timeframe required to complete a Short Form Report is 4-5 weeks; 2 weeks’ notice to schedule the assessment, followed by 3 weeks to complete the written report.

The general timeframe required to complete a Family Report is 7-8 weeks; 3 weeks’ notice to schedule the assessment, followed by 5 weeks to complete the written report.

For court ordered individual counselling, the hourly fee is $300. Medicare will reimburse you $98 per session, for ten sessions each year, if you obtain a GP referral.
